    Food & Agri Update - Friday 28 April

    EU environmental/food/reporting Directives & Regs looked at: corporate sustainability reporting Directive (CSRD), Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, Deforestation Free Product Regulation, EU pesticide monitoring regulation has Ethylene Oxide added. (NB EU 'greenwashing' Directive considered last week.) The Windsor Framework and scope of 'not for EU' labelling - Is Defra going to stipulate this UK wide? Finally, regulatory cases this time: Environmental - landowner imprisoned for 12 months & £600k fine for river dredging. Health &safety - fall from height - need to assess the risk and have a safe system of work.
