Supporting your ambitions
Alice’s recent experience includes:
- Regularly working closely with in-house counsel at a world-leading charitable research institute. Alice enjoys collaborating with and supporting a range of individuals and departments, including scientists, research governance, HR, IT, procurement, and research managers. This experience has been invaluable in developing Alice’s commercial appreciation of the institute’s interests and needs, both as a charity and research organisation, extending far beyond the law.
- Advising on a large procurement project with tight deadlines, which involved identifying and analysing numerous relevant contractual documents, taking a proactive approach to resolving issues and ensuring consistency.
- Supporting a life sciences client, as part of a wider team, on a complex licensing transaction, including collating and addressing client comments and concerns.
- Preparing a sub-contract for a complicated and substantial head contract, which could not be attached to the sub-contract due to the commercially sensitive nature of its content. This required detailed analysis of the head contract, to ensure inclusion of appropriate obligations, while taking a risk-based approach, keeping in mind the strategic importance of the client/subcontractor relationship.
- Working on a complex outsourcing deal, which involved keeping track of, and implementing, multiple strands of instructions.
