Jastinder specialises in the resolution of disputes in the construction and engineering industry and advises clients on how to achieve their commercial objectives when dealing with contentious issues.
What can Jastinder do for you?
She's recently advised clients on issues relating to liability, causation and quantum in complex construction matters, defects in the works/services rendered during a construction projects, and also delay issues ie extensions of time and loss and expense. In doing so, Jastinder's guided clients through the pre-action process, alternative dispute resolution, adjudication and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.
Supporting your ambitions
Jastinder advises a number of educational institutions and understands how they operate.
She's also advised them, and others, on the implications of the Building Safety Act 2022, particularly in relation to remediation orders, remediation contribution orders and building liability orders.
As well as advising employers, Jastinder also advises contractors and is currently advising on a matter in the Technology and Construction Court in respect of a delay claim involving a claim for prolongation and for loss and expense.
What else should you know?
During Jastinder's training contract, she was seconded to entities operating in the life science and automotive industries. She has considerable in-house experience, managing a wide-ranging portfolio of insolvency matters at a national insolvency practitioner firm.
She's a member of the Society of Construction Law.
