Maya is an associate in the employment team in our Birmingham office. Maya supports clients across a range of sectors including the health, education and commercial sectors. The team advises on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Maya works with a range of clients defending Employment Tribunal claims and providing day-to-day advice on employment and HR related matters. She has been involved in complex Employment Tribunal cases involving discrimination based on religion, sex, disability and race, as well as unfair dismissal and pay claims. Originally from Canada, Maya had a previous career in the political and charity sectors and joined Mills & Reeve as a Trainee Solicitor in 2019.
