What can Neil do for you?
I help businesses and individual clients on all issues arising from financial distress. I advise clients on how to deal with their own financial distress; lenders, investors, private equity, venture capitalists and various other stakeholders on the financial distress of their borrower or investment; clients on the financial distress of counterparties and insolvency practitioners on insolvency process issues.
Supporting our ambitions
My role is to help clients resolve the issues that they face arising out of financial distress. This has included assisting a company on the brink of going into administration and with the prospect of creditors receiving nothing, to conclude a business sale that resulted in all creditors being paid in full over time out of deferred consideration payments. I have also assisted a client to control the transition of a critical insolvent business to an approved operator through enforcement of security. This gave the client security of supply and an enhanced financial return.
What do others say?
Neil has been described as a “seriously impressive lawyer” in Chambers 2018 who does “not rush at any problem” and with “everything done with a purpose and elegance that is highly impressive”. Legal 500 2018 describes him as “very good on contentious insolvency issues and pursuing recalcitrant directors”.
