On 21 July the government’s consultation on higher-risk buildings closed. Higher-risk buildings is a concept set out in the Building Safety Act, and to which large parts of the Act apply. 

The Building Safety Act received Royal Assent in April 2022.  Much of it will come into force by way of secondary legislation. Look out for our regular blogs on the Act and building safety generally.
