Staff deliver glowing account of working at Mills & Reeve

In total 668 staff gave their views on working at Mills & Reeve, the highest number since the firm’s bi-annual staff survey began in 2002.

When asked what the best things about working for Mills & Reeve were, three key themes emerged from the answers. Three quarters (75%) of staff mentioned enjoying working with talented colleagues or teams, 60% included factors about how they worked, such as flexibility, innovation and collaboration, while 55% mentioned the culture – for example feeling valued for their contribution and the firm’s approach to work-life balance.

Importantly, 72% of staff now agree that if they perform well they will receive opportunities for career progression. This was one of 17 “best-ever” scores in questions asked more than five times since the survey began.

In terms of leadership, 96% of staff said they understand the firm’s strategy and 99% believe the managing partner, Claire Clarke, and senior partner, Justin Ripman, are doing a good job of leading the firm. When it comes to communication, 92% agree that they hear important information about the firm quickly and 88% are told why things happen within the firm.
