Mills & Reeve bolsters its corporate restructuring offering in London with major lateral hire

Corporate restructuring specialist Neil Smyth has joined Mills & Reeve from Taylor Wessing. Neil specialises in all forms of corporate recovery matters, including corporate restructuring, acting for lenders, venture capitalists, private equity, distressed debt purchasers, specialist solution teams and insolvency practitioners. 

His work has included advising KPMG on the pre-pack sale of the business and assets of Worldstores to the Dunelm group; acting on the purchase of the Dutch and German parts of the Ben Sherman fashion brand; and acting for the liquidators of LOCOG, the organising committee for the 2012 London Olympics. He has over two decades of experience advising clients in the London restructuring market. 

Neil will join Mills & Reeve’s London office to further develop the firm’s mid-market restructuring and insolvency work notably in the technology and real estate sectors.
