Mills & Reeve strengthens corporate tax team with major lateral hire

Neil joins as a partner, having previously held the same position in the corporate tax team at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (now Gowling WLG). Neil specialises in social investment, venture capital schemes and employee share ownership. 

Kevin Lowe, partner and head of our corporate and commercial team, said: “We’re looking to grow our corporate tax practice, concentrating on the areas surrounding the funding of businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profit bodies as well as the growing interest in mutual and employee engagement through share ownership. Neil’s appointment, together with an already ambitious team, will help us to make further in-roads particularly in employee ownership and social finance.” 

Neil, who will be based in the Birmingham office but will operate across the firm’s network of six UK offices, added: “Joining Mills & Reeve with its unique combination of sector strengths, specialist service lines and ambition to grow further, is an exciting move for me. In line with the Mills & Reeve 2020 strategy I hope to strengthen our offering in our key sectors and help the team achieve even more by working together to secure the best outcomes for all our clients.”
